Aalberts N.V. heeft overeenstemming bereikt over de overname van 100% van de aandelen van Isel Germany AG (ISEL), een Duitse onderneming gespecialiseerd in wafer handling en robotica, alsmede machinesystemen met digitale services. Isel zal de krachten bundelen met IDE, een onderdeel van de Aalberts advanced mechatronics groep gevestigd in Raunheim, Duitsland. De overname versterkt de geavanceerde mechatronicaportefeuille van Aalberts en vergroot de aanwezigheid van de onderneming in Duitsland.
Isel, in 1972 opgericht door Hugo Isert, is gevestigd in Eichenzell en Eiterfeld, genereert een jaaromzet van circa 35 miljoen euro en heeft 200 werknemers. Isel combineert kennis van mechanica, elektronica en software voor de ontwikkeling, engineering en productie van wafer handling, robotica en machinesystemen met digitale diensten. Isel produceert de meeste componenten die nodig zijn voor deze systemen in eigen huis en is in staat om volledig op maat gemaakte geavanceerde mechatronica-oplossingen te bieden. Het bedrijf is actief in de eindmarkten semicon-efficiëntie en industriële niches.
Isel heeft een lange geschiedenis van samenwerking met IDE. “Het combineren van de sterke punten en kennis van Isel en IDE zal voortbouwen op onze bestaande relatie, aanzienlijke toekomstige groei stimuleren en meerdere zakelijke kansen creëren”, aldus Thomas Breser, Managing Director IDE. “Deze kansen omvatten gecombineerde aanbiedingen en gezamenlijke ontwikkeling van nieuwe mechatronische en softwaresystemen. Ik ben enthousiast om deze groep te leiden en het succes op lange termijn van beide bedrijven, onze klanten en natuurlijk alle medewerkers veilig te stellen.”
Werner Kister, lid van de Raad van Bestuur van Isel Germany AG, voegt hieraan toe: “Nu het tijdperk van Hugo Isert voorbij is, is het van cruciaal belang dat Isel zich blijft ontwikkelen, dus het kiezen van de juiste strategische partner was enorm belangrijk voor ons. Isel’s meer dan 50 jaar ervaring op het gebied van automatisering zal veel waarde toevoegen aan de nieuwe groep en de synergie tussen onze bedrijven zal groei en succes op lange termijn brengen voor zowel IDE als Isel.”

Aalberts N.V. has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Isel Germany AG (ISEL), a German firm specialized in wafer handling and robotics as well as machine systems with digital services. Isel will join forces with IDE, a part of the Aalberts advanced mechatronics group based in Raunheim, Germany. The acquisition will strengthen Aalberts’ advanced mechatronics portfolio and expand its manufacturing footprint in Germany.
Founded in 1972 by Hugo Isert, Isel is based in Eichenzell and Eiterfeld, generates an annual revenue of approximately 35 million euros, and has 200 employees. Isel combines mechanics, electronics, and software knowledge to develop, engineer, and manufacture wafer handling, robotics, and machine systems with digital services. Isel manufactures most of the components needed for these systems in-house and is able to offer completely customized advanced mechatronics solutions. The company is active in the semicon efficiency and industrial niches end markets.
Isel has a long history of collaborating with IDE. “Combining the strengths and knowledge of Isel and IDE will build on our existing relationship, drive significant future growth, and create multiple business opportunities,” said Thomas Breser, Managing Director IDE. “These opportunities include combined offerings and co-development of new mechatronic and software systems. I am excited to lead this group and secure the long-term success of both companies, our customers, and of course all employees.”
